Help Guides
Practical steps for discovering classic car events, listing your own, and getting the most out of Oldtimer Map on the web.
Use the guides below to browse and search the calendar, publish an event, manage your account, and find where to go when something is unclear.
Discover events
The events page lists classic car gatherings, shows, rallies, and meetups you can filter by date, category, and location.
When you are logged in, you can explore the full list and refine results with filters.
- Use date and category filters to narrow down what is on near you or on your travel dates.
- Open a listing to see details, venue information, and links the organizer provided.
Search
Search finds events and places that match your keywords. Use the search bar on the home page; results open on the events page with your query.
You can combine a text query with optional map coordinates and a radius (via URL parameters) when you want results around a specific area.
- Try different keywords if your first search returns few results.
- Adjust filters on the results page when they are available for your query.
Plan or publish an event
The event planner page explains what you can do as an organizer and links to the full creation flow.
Creating or editing an event requires a logged-in account. If you are not signed in, you will be prompted to log in first.
Provide clear dates, location, descriptions in both languages when possible, and 1–3 images that represent your event. Listings may go through review before they appear publicly.
- Save progress as a draft when you need more time; submitted events can show states such as in review, published, or rejected in your dashboard.
- Update details from your organizer view if dates or venue information change.
Account and profile
Your profile holds your display name and email; you can update details and change your password from the profile area when signed in.
The “My events” section on the home page lists events you created so you can jump back to edit them or check their status.
- Use password reset on the login flow if you cannot access your account.
Community and safety
We rely on everyone to keep listings accurate and respectful. Read the community guidelines for expectations around content and behavior.
If you see an event that breaks the rules, signed-in users can report it from the event page so our team can review it.
